Aluminum profiles have different physical properties, mechanical properties and processing characteristics depending on the aluminum alloy used.

In practical applications, the appropriate alloy grade should be selected according to the purpose.

The following is an introduction to several common aluminum profile alloy series and their representative grades:

1. 6000 series: aluminum-magnesium-silicon alloy (such as 6063, 6061, 6005, 6082)

This is the most commonly used alloy series for aluminum profiles, combining strength and processing performance.

(1) 6063

Features: moderate strength, good surface treatment performance, excellent extrusion performance

Applications: building doors and windows, curtain walls, railings, decorative profiles, etc.

(2) 6061

Features: higher strength than 6063, good corrosion resistance, heat treatment and strengthening

Applications: industrial profiles, structural parts, bicycle frames, auto parts

(3) 6082

Features: high strength, good welding performance, suitable for load-bearing structures

Applications: heavy structural profiles, engineering machinery, transportation equipment

(4) 6005 / 6005A

Features: strength between 6061 and 6063, good bending resistance

Applications: cable trays, ladders, structural frames, solar brackets, etc.

Aluminum Profiles

2. 7000 series: aluminum-zinc-magnesium alloys (such as 7075, 7050)

Features:

Extremely high strength, one of the highest strength commercial aluminum alloys

Can be heat treated and strengthened, but weldability and corrosion resistance are poor

Applications: aerospace, molds, military industry, sports equipment (such as trekking poles, bicycle frames)

Different aluminum profile alloy grades have different performance advantages.

Choosing the right grade is not only related to the strength and service life of the product, but also affects processing efficiency and cost control.

As a professional aluminum profile manufacturer, we can recommend the most suitable alloy model and heat treatment state according to customer's application and provide customized solutions.
